Warbird Ground School

The Canada Aviation and Space Museum and Vintage Wings of Canada are inviting you to attend the Warbird Technical Ground Schools. These two-day technical ground schools will offer inside technical and operational information on some of the most important aircraft of the Second World War and of the Korean War.

An Overview

Your instructor is a seasoned warbird pilot from Vintage Wings of Canada, current on type with valuable insights you won’t find in a book. Students will get in-depth instruction and many valuable experiences including:

  • Aircraft Technical Systems Engine, Hydraulics, Controls, Instrumentation & Armament
  • Aircraft handling and flying characteristics
  • Aircraft History – historical Canadian significance of type
  • Thorough “walk-around” and cockpit familiarization
  • Private tour of Vintage Wings of Canada collection & facility
  • Meet and talk flying with Vintage Wings warbird pilots
  • Warbird Ground School Certificate
  • Professional cockpit photograph of you and your “warbird”

Regular schedule: Wednesday to Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed Tuesdays except statutory and school holidays.
Closed Christmas Day. Open New Year’s Day.
Aviation and Rockcliffe Parkways.
